CraftGearGuide helps you choose a craft cutting machine, like a Cricut, Silhouette or similar cutter, and understand what it will and won't do before you buy. It covers the machines, their software, their size limits, and the accessories and materials they need.

How the research works

Reviews on this site are research-based unless a page says exactly what was tested hands-on. Right now, no machine on the site has been hands-on tested by CraftGearGuide, and every review says so near the top.

For each machine, specs come from the manufacturer's own product pages and help documents, and each review lists the date they were checked. Independent hands-on reviews are summarized and linked, and we say who ran the test. When sources disagree, we say so instead of quietly picking one. When a maker doesn't publish a number, we don't estimate it. Calculations, like sticker counts or footprint, are labeled as estimates with their assumptions shown.
